EndNote: Cite While You Write

This guide provides information on how to set-up and use EndNote.

Cite While You Write

Cite While You Write- is a feature of EndNote Desktop. It makes inserting citations while you write a paper easily!

  • When you install EndNote Desktop, Word or Pages will have this new EndNote tab.
  • When you "Insert Citation" the in-text citation is added and the Bibliography/Reference List will atomically be created.

Below are some short videos demonstrating how to use "Cite While You Write" in EndNote 20, the interface is the same as EndNote 21:

citing references with EndNote 20 in Windows Word

citing references with EndNote 20 in Apple Pages
