Anti-Racism Resources

Welcome

The Beaman Librarians and Staff are committed to facilitating personal and academic research endeavors on all topics and in all disciplines. We work to create and curate Research Guides to help students and faculty navigate the resources available to them within their respective fields and disciplines. We believe that as people are now looking for information about the history and consequences of racism in our country, it is our responsibility and our honor to help facilitate and guide information seekers as we all work toward a more honest understanding of ourselves and a future that is healed by the actions we are taking now. We have compiled a list of resources that are available both in Beaman Library and at local libraries like Nashville Public Library. This list is by no means comprehensive, and is meant to be a living reference, one that we will continue to update.

We are extremely grateful for our friends and colleagues who have helped us in generating these resources.
